Privacy Policy

Effective October 14, 2026  ·  See also our Terms & Conditions

1322 Foundation, Inc. ("1322 Foundation," "the Foundation," "we," "us," or "our") is a Virginia nonstock corporation organized for charitable, religious, and educational purposes. Through its Pastoral Care & Leadership Formation ministry, led by Dr. Victor L. Stanley, the Foundation offers pastoral care, leadership coaching, marriage and pre-marital coaching, speaking, and teaching resources for pastors, missionaries, Christian leaders, and their families.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit drvstanley.com and any other website, page, or form operated by the Foundation (together, the "Site"), subscribe to our communications, request ministry services, give a gift, or otherwise interact with us. We regard the trust of those we serve as a matter of stewardship, and we handle personal information accordingly.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information collected through the Site, our online forms, email and text-message communications, and related ministry activities. It does not govern the separate confidentiality commitments that apply within an established pastoral-care or coaching relationship, which are addressed in Section 7, nor the practices of third-party websites or services we link to.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

  • Contact and request information — your name, email address, telephone number, church or organization, the type of help you are requesting, and any message you choose to send through our ministry request form.
  • Subscription information — your first name and email address when you subscribe to devotionals, teaching, or ministry updates.
  • Text-message preferences — your mobile number and your consent choices when you opt in to receive text messages.
  • Gift information — when you give, our third-party donation processor collects your name, contact details, and payment information. We receive a record of the gift (donor name, contact details, amount, date, and designation) but we do not receive or store full payment-card or bank-account numbers.
  • Correspondence — information you include when you email, call, or write to us.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit, collected through server logs and similar technologies used by our website platform.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — small files used to operate the Site, remember preferences, protect against fraud, and understand how the Site is used. See Section 6.
  • Email and message engagement — whether a message was delivered or opened and whether links were clicked, so that we can maintain accurate lists and improve our communications.

Sensitive information

A request for pastoral care may touch on matters of faith, family, health, or personal hardship. Please share only what is needed for us to respond to your request; the details can be discussed in a confidential conversation. Do not submit financial-account numbers, government identification numbers, or medical records through the Site.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information only for purposes consistent with the Foundation's charitable, religious, and educational mission, including to:

  • respond to requests for pastoral care, coaching, speaking, or other ministry services, and schedule and conduct those engagements;
  • send devotionals, teaching, ministry updates, and the monthly ministry letter you have subscribed to;
  • send text messages you have consented to receive;
  • process, acknowledge, and receipt gifts, and maintain the financial records the Foundation is required to keep;
  • operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site and our communications;
  • comply with legal, tax, audit, and governance obligations, and protect the rights, property, and safety of the Foundation and others.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for any commercial purpose unrelated to our mission.

4. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as described below:

  • Service providers. We use trusted providers who act on our behalf and under our instructions, including our website, forms, and communications platform (LeadConnector/HighLevel), our email provider (Google Workspace), and our donation processor (Donorbox and its payment processors). These providers may use the information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to prevent imminent harm to a person, to report suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult as required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of the Foundation and others.
  • Organizational changes. If the Foundation's ministry or assets are transferred to another charitable organization, as permitted by our governing documents, personal information may be transferred to that organization subject to protections consistent with this Policy.
  • With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose with your direction or consent.

Text messaging. Mobile numbers and text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with service providers solely to deliver the messages you have requested.

5. Text Messages

If you opt in to text messages from 1322 Foundation, you may receive messages about your ministry request, scheduling, and, if you separately consent, ministry updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving any ministry service. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Embedded Content

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to function, and may use analytics to understand how visitors use it. Some pages include content from third parties, such as Google Fonts for typography, YouTube for video teaching, and our donation processor's giving form. When you load that content, the third party may collect information about your device and visit under its own privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; some features of the Site may not work properly if you do. We honor Global Privacy Control signals for the limited purposes to which they apply. Because there is no common industry standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, the Site does not respond to them.

7. Confidentiality of Pastoral Care

Conversations within an established pastoral-care or coaching relationship are held in confidence. We will not disclose what you share in those conversations without your permission, except where disclosure is required by law, where there is a reasonable belief that a person is at risk of serious harm, or where we are required to report suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult. Pastoral care and coaching provided by the Foundation are spiritual and ministry services; they are not licensed medical, psychological, or professional counseling, and communications may not be legally privileged in every circumstance. Any written confidentiality terms agreed for a specific engagement will govern that engagement.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Ministry request records are generally retained for the duration of the ministry relationship and a reasonable period afterward. Gift and financial records are retained for at least seven years, or longer where required for tax, audit, or legal purposes. Subscription records are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we retain only what is needed to honor your choice.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access limited to authorized personnel, encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the Site and our forms, and reputable service providers with their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

10. Your Choices and Rights

  • Email. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us, to stop receiving communications. We may still send messages related to a request you have made or a gift you have given.
  • Text messages. Reply STOP to any text message to opt out.
  • Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask that we limit its use. Although some state privacy laws do not apply to nonprofit organizations, we will honor reasonable requests from any person, subject to our legal and record-keeping obligations. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within 45 days.
  • No discrimination. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these choices.

11. Children

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. Ministry services involving minors are arranged only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

12. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to websites we do not control, such as booksellers, video platforms, and partner ministries. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

13. Users Outside the United States

The Foundation is based in the United States, and personal information is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, communicated by email. Continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Policy.
